Time

We use CLOCK to tell the time.

Telling the Time

	In this clock, the hour hand points at 1. The minute hand is at 12. So the time is exactly 1 o' clock
	In this clock, the hour hand is past 1, but has not reached 2. The minute hand is at 3. So the time is 15 minutes past 1 o' clock
	In this clock, the hour hand points at 2. The minute hand is at 12. So the time is exactly 2 o' clock

Time in Hours

When the minute hand is at 12, the hour hand always points to an hour on the clock. The time is a full hour or o'clock

Time in Half Hours

When the minute hand is at 6, the time is 30 minutes past the hour. We say, the time is half past the hour.

Time in Quarter Past

When the minute hand is at 3, the time is 15 minutes past the hour. We say, the time is quarter past the hour.

Time in Quarter To

When the minute hand is at 9, the time is 45 minutes past the hour or 15 minutes to the next hour. We say, the time is quarter to the next hour.
